HOW IT WORKS

What does a typical Vanguard Renewables Ag anaerobic digester project include?

A typical dairy waste-to-energy project consists of a cluster of multiple farms totaling 10,000-plus dairy cows. The methane produced from dairy manure is captured through a process known as Farm Powered® anaerobic digestion and is then transported either by truck or pipeline to a conditioning facility. Once the gas is processed and cleaned of any impurities, it is then delivered to a utility through the existing underground gas distribution network.

THE VANGUARD RENEWABLES AG MANURE TO RENEWABLE NATURAL GAS PROCESS

The methane produced from dairy manure is captured through Farm Powered anaerobic digestion and is then transported through low-pressure gathering lines to a central conditioning facility. The gas is processed and cleaned of any impurities and delivered to local consumers through the existing underground distribution network.

The Farm Powered process offers dairy farmers a manure management and greenhouse gas emissions solution by utilizing farm-based anaerobic digestion facilities that mitigate the methane emissions from dairy manure and process it into clean, renewable natural gas.
